Role Summary

A senior customer focused presales role with a primary objective (as a member of a wider sales team) to support the sales cycle of software solutions to prospects and customers. The ideal candidate will be a commercially focused trusted adviser, comfortable engaging with people at multiple levels in institutions to understand (and help shape) their strategy, goals and intended business outcomes and be confident in mapping those to our solutions. You will work hand in hand with our Account Sales Executives to engage with customers and prospects throughout the customer lifecycle.

•            Help qualify opportunities, and form deal strategies

•            Carry out research on customers to understand their pains

•            Work with customers to understand (and help shape) their requirements 

•            Advise on best practice & latest thinking & facilitate workshops

•            Solution architecture – understand & evaluate “as is”, build roadmap to future state vision

•            Design solutions and solution architecture to meet customer needs

•            Actively maintain product and sector knowledge

•            Carry out targeted, audience appropriate presentations and demonstrations

•            Write bid responses


The ideal candidate’s career history will have given them a good understanding of the Higher Education industry and a broad understanding of the various functions across a University including strong business process understanding and extensive experience working in ERP and / or Student Information Systems and/or CRM
They will have strong consulting and customer facing skills, be commercially astute and have a broad understanding of solutions and what they deliver for institutions.
