Ellucian is looking for a hands-on and energetic Field Marketing Manager to support the Central sales region. This is a remote position within the Central region, our ideal candidate will be based in either Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri or Iowa.

The goals of this role are to:

  • Partner with sales to drive demand generation in the region
  • Collaborate with corporate marketing to ensure messaging and campaigns are aligned with requirements from the field
  • Develop and execute regional marketing strategy and plans to support quarterly and annual sales objectives, for both net new opportunities and growth opportunities within existing accounts.   

You will report to the Senior Director, Global Field Marketing, and this position requires a unique blend of B2B marketing, experience of working across different marketing platforms, campaign management, creativity and the ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment managing multiple projects.

This ideal candidate will have a background with B2B software solutions and a proven ability to identify opportunities and deliver effective marketing strategies to generate results.   

 

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with sales leadership / sales to develop annual and quarterly marketing plan based on regional strategy and priorities. Identify key target accounts and audiences, define regional campaigns required to support sales goals.
  • Collaborate with marketing peers and sales leadership to create and gain consensus for cross portfolio go-to-market (GTM) plans in alignment with strategic product mandates and sales directives.
  • Help design installed base and prospect campaigns to generate leads, strengthening assigned pipeline goals
  • Drive account-based marketing strategy against target accounts in partnership with the Global Programs team
  • Assist in the continued development and management of the customer reference repository to make outreach and maintenance more efficient
  • Drive co-marketing activities with solution partners to drive awareness and pipeline generation in collaboration with the Solutions Marketing team
  • Liaise on customer interactions, including online/offline communities, events, user groups and executive roundtables
  • Target and promote thought leadership content and new marketing assets that align with the customer journey, sales buying stages and support the GTM plan for specific accounts.
  • Measure the impact of marketing activities on customer growth, retention and financial outcomes, and communicate these impacts within the organization.
  • Identify opportunities to improve go-to-market strategy & tactic effectiveness through better audience segmentation, marketing techniques and processes.

 

Requirements:

  • Success in building and executing integrated campaigns leveraging multiple channels in which to reach your target audience
  • Clear understanding of technology, data applications, cloud and emerging technologies with the capability to skillfully integrate into programs that deliver on sales and product objectives.
  • Strong writing and presentation skills to translate detailed content into impactful go-to-market materials including web, email and social content.
  • Successful direct and digital marketing campaign experience required
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve hands-on results working cross-functionally with sales, marketing and product teams
  • Achievement/goal-oriented, collaborative, customer-focused, detailed, persistent, active listener, resourceful
  • Understands how to build and execute a campaign from concept to measurement in market
  • Strong project management, planning and organizational skills with attention to detail. An ability to take initiative and deliver projects unsupervised.
  • Have a strong, metrics-driven background and the ability to utilize both qualitative and quantitative data
  • Ability to deal with occasional ambiguity and courage to take risks and try new things
  • Travel up to 25% as required

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in marketing, communications, business or a related field preferred.
  • 5-7+ years experience B2B technology preferred
