Position Responsibilities

The Solution Launch Manger is responsible for driving cross-functional launch and adoption readiness for Ellucian software solutions that delight our customers.  Successful individuals in this role create value in the intersection of Ellucian’s lines of business in the support of our customers’ success.  

 

The Solution Launch Manager performs project management for the entire solution life cycle of each solution they support (from software development through go to market) and ensures cross-functional readiness deliverables and dependencies are completed to support successful customer adoption.  With a customer-first mindset, the Solution Launch Manager takes initiative to drive strategic launch and adoption discussions around readiness trends, potential risks and issues.  This role is also responsible for ensuring launch management consistency across the business and will provide education and training on Ellucian’s launch readiness methodology.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide leadership and insight to Solution Launch and Leadership Teams that position Ellucian to support our customers in the successful adoption of our solutions
  • Identify launch and adoption trends across solutions to effectively plan for and mitigate potential issues,
  • Manage multiple competing cross-functional solutions simultaneously, some on a global scale, collaborating with all organization levels and divisions.
  • Drive consistency and best practices within the launch process, focusing on the scalability and acceleration of our global launch efforts in all aspects of the product lifecycle, promoting organizational change where necessary
  • Hold all launch team individuals accountable for readiness activities to ensure on time on scope launch efforts
  • Be a trusted advisor to lines of businesses engaged in launch readiness and adoption efforts, to allow for open flow of communication throughout product lifecycle
  • Engage collaboratively across lines of business, building bridges across the organization. 
  • Perform comprehensive project management of the launch readiness activities, following formal project management disciplines and governance
  • Identify potential risks and issues, ensuring mitigation efforts are managed and communicated clearly and concisely across lines of business.

 

Required Skills / Knowledge / Experience

We are seeking an experienced Solution Launch Manager who can drive successful solution launch readiness and adoption initiatives across our Ellucian Portfolio.

 

Candidates must have:

  • Demonstrated success in leading global solution launch initiatives across multiple lines of business on time and within scope
  • Experience and ability to influence without authority
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, thinking creatively to identify risks and advise on solutions.
  • Confidence and experience in both identifying and communicating trends and insights clearly and effectively with all lines of business at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong focus on customer perspective
  • Demonstrated project management experience
  • Demonstrated proven methods to build rapport, build trust, and influence across, above, and below in the organization; pleasant and gracious in stressful and challenging situations.
  • Acts with a sense of urgency, high level of quality, and a strong attention to detail.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel up-to 25% of the time (nationally and internationally).
