As a key contributor to our Solution Consulting team, you’ll serve as a product & technical champion to discover customer needs and demonstrate Ellucian solutions and value proposition. Working with the NA Sales teams, you’ll help acquire new customers, expand relationships and drive revenue growth. You’ll build breadth and depth of knowledge in higher education solutions and will be instrumental in helping higher education institutions visualize themselves delivering institutional value using our solutions by passionately position Ellucian as the solution to drive student success.


Position Responsibilities
•    Understand the unique needs of higher education institutions, identify the right solutions and communicate the value these bring to their institutions through remote and onsite demonstrations
•    Participate in strategy/discovery calls that build relationships and acquire a deep knowledge of prospective customer business processes by asking strategic questions to form an understanding of pain points, redundancies, and process gaps
•    Build credibility with staff, administration and key decision makers as a subject matter and solution expert 
•    Prepare tailored demonstration and solution set that maps to the customer’s needs based on discovery findings, research and/or competitive intelligence
•    Develop scripts and demonstration stories that align with customer needs
•    Deliver persona, story, and value-based demonstrations and presentations that map to customer needs and aligns to the sales strategy and approach
•    Must be able to clearly articulate specific needs to internal technical resources when reports, analytics, workflows or other new, customer specific items are required
•    Assist in the production of content to the library of internal and customer-facing recorded demonstrations and other resources
•    Create and maintain demonstration materials such as PowerPoint presentations and other tools
•    Manage, build and maintain key cyclical business processes within the demonstration environment
•    Serve as a key internal resource in educating the Sales division on product updates
•    Support RFx activity as needed 
•    Provide a variety of functional product support throughout the sales process as appropriate
•    Maintain industry and product knowledge on an ongoing basis
•    Must cross-train on other solutions as deemed appropriate by management to broaden skills and solution coverage for the solution consulting team
•    Will serve as an active member and subject matter expert as to internal product team committees as assigned
•    Represent Ellucian at industry and user conferences
•    Other duties as necessary 


Position Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
•    Bachelor’s degree qualified 
•    Minimum of 5 years of experience in higher education administration.  Preferably in the Student/Academic Services arena.  (Admissions/Recruiting, Registrar, Student Services, etc.) and/or previous experience in a Presales environment
•    Demonstrated understanding of current industry trends and issues in higher education
•    Strong verbal, written and presentation skills 
•    Natural storyteller and passion for presenting solutions to problems
•    Able to make effective presentations in time constrained situations
•    Able to articulate and logically communicate concepts both technically and functionally
•    Able to prioritize the work and strong project management skills
•    Able to meet deadlines, follow up on commitments, and take action as needed
