Senior Sales Operations Business Analyst

 

Location: Reston, VA, Malvern, PA, Remote

 

Scope of Role:

As a Sales Operations Business Analyst, you will be responsible for managing Sales reporting and analysis, system tasks, initiatives and projects that support Ellucian’s Sales process and execution strategy. In this role, you will ensure reporting, systems projects and initiatives are executed at high quality and on time. 

In collaboration with other members of the Sales Operations, Sales leadership, Finance, and other teams, you will work with a variety of functions including evaluation of current or potential new systems or tools, development of processes, education to sales, implementation of systems or tools, reporting, select projects related to business analysis for planning and review purposes as outlined by management, oversight of opportunity close processes, and other projects as assigned.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver reporting and analytics related to day to day operations, business effectiveness, on assigned areas of work. This includes the creation and management of standard dashboards, reports, and specialized in-depth analysis activities.
  • Produce insights from reporting for sales management to create actions plans on opportunities, pipeline management, rep productivity, etc.
  • Develop requirements, reporting objectives and document business reporting requirements from stakeholders
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts and compose high-level information into reportable details
  • Support projects and system initiatives that align with sales strategy and business needs.
  • Anticipate stakeholder needs based on information you are evaluating, and develop and discuss potential solutions, even before the stakeholders realize they are required. This includes things like process improvements, actionable recommendations, alternative data presentations
  • Act as a project analyst or project manager for system enhancements, software evaluations, and implementations
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on the end to end sales operating model and overall sales process from lead to opportunity to quote to contracts
  • Organize and execute system changes, testing and development of training materials for new systems or processes
  • Develop tools to enhance and optimize sale’s ability to execute on opportunity advancement.
  • Support data quality enhancements and initiatives.
  • Support Sales through day-to-day troubleshooting of sales systems related issues and own those issues through to complete resolution.
  • Support Sales Operations with day-to-day transactions, processes, and organizational changes.

 

 

 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor Degree qualified or equivalent, IT or CRM qualification
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Sales Operations
  • Good track record of delivering results and working towards targets
  • End to end project management
  • Proficient in the use of Salesforce.com CRM, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, Google Docs and Salesforce.com adjacent applications
  • Strong IT, Analytical, and Organization Skills
  • A high degree of personal character and integrity, critical to a role with visibility into business data.
  • Knows how to work cross functionally
