Ellucian has been a long-established presence in the EdTech industry, and we are looking inward on learning as we build a people analytics function within our Human Resources team.  We are seeking a HR Analyst to bring passion for data, and deliver HR processes and analytics through a consultative approach.  This is an opportunity to make a visible impact, in a critical role where successful execution of a Workforce Analytics platform will integrate all people data across all functions of HR.

 

This position will provide subject matter expertise on key projects and initiatives, chief among which is the design, development, and continuous improvement of actionable metrics / dashboards / trend analysis that enables the business to make informed decisions.  The Analyst will also be responsible for supporting the implementation of workforce analytics solutions, to integrate HR and relevant business data for managers and HR leadership.  The Analyst will also have exposure across HRIS, Compensation and the People Analytics functions, leveraging the ability handle large data sets from multiple data sources with ease.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop metrics, complex reports, aggregation of data for business reports while ensuring accuracy of data and calculations
  • Perform detailed analysis to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to data and processes
  • Assist in executing data audits to ensure ongoing data integrity, and identify gaps or trends for designing and implementing new audit procedures
  • Partner with internal teams to understand needs, document requirements, and provide solutions
  • Assist with cross-training and knowledge share activities to enhance the People Team’s ability to provide cross-functional support and break silos.
  • Partner with the People Team Centers of Excellence (HR Business Partners, Compensation, Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, and Learning and Development) to identify requirements for data collection and develop associated automated reports to drive insights
  • Identify process improvements that significantly improve quality across the teams
  • Effectively present data and insights, and facilitate discussions to ensure focus and progress

 

Requirements:

 

  • 4-6 years overall experience ,with at least 3 years working with a variety of reporting tools
  • Previous experience working with SAP SuccessFactors reporting, familiarity with SuccessFactors Workforce Analytics and Tableau strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in querying data in SQL and utilizing an enterprise scale database
  • Ability to deliver a story through qualitative and quantitative data analytics 
  • Advanced Excel and Power Point skills, and previous work with HRMS systems
  • Ability to analyze and document complex business processes
  • Knowledge of information systems development and implementation, as well as knowledge of business processes and applications
  • Knowledge of statistical methods and techniques, and complex data analyses (data mining, regression analysis, decision trees, and time series forecasting)
  • Knowledge of system integrations, data flow automations, and troubleshooting techniques in support of HRMS, Compensation, Payroll, Benefits and other systems / processes.
  • Polished communication & presentation skills, while possessing the ability to interface with audiences of all organization levels
  • Arrive as a self-starter and a structured thinker, organized, with a high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to use critical thinking skills in standardized situations as well as non-routine problems
  • Creative problem solving ability with a healthy mix of intellectual agility and curiosity 
  • Strong understanding of the Human Resources function and end-to-end HR processes
  • Ability to communicate complex subject material to leaders in a clear and actionable manner
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
  • BA/BS degree required
