Senior HRIS Analyst – Job Description

Seeking a highly motivated, team oriented professional in a Senior HRIS Analyst role that is pivotal to the continued evolution of Ellucian’s HR Technology roadmap. This role is responsible for the design, configuration, implementation, maintenance and administration of HR Systems, primarily SAP Success Factors. This role also supports our HRIS strategy which includes all HR related systems, applications and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as lead technical subject matter expert and “super user” for HR systems applications and practices
  • Analyze HR processes with an eye on efficiency, quality and data-driven decision making
  • Partner in the governance of HR systems regarding system changes, assessing impacts and priorities
  • Administer new system releases/upgrades and utilize these to identify opportunities in existing processes and implement scalable solutions
  • Support the research and evaluation of new and/or alternative solutions to enhance HR operational effectiveness
  • Administer delivery, documentation and escalated support of Business Process configuration and integration/interfaces for both new functionality and enhancements
  • Provide necessary training to end users to increase their effectiveness and ability to use HR systems and tools
  • Support the appropriate development and execution of internal/external controls and compliance
  • Administer appropriate quality control over HR systems including maintenance of test scenarios and appropriate execution of testing for various changes
  • Project Management responsibilities in support of HR and business objectives, both service delivery and technology oriented, including planning, task, risk & quality management, issue tracking & resolution, customer focused and prioritization, communications plan & stakeholder updates and keeping things on time and within budget
  • Act as liaison and HRIS champion between users, management, IT and service providers on HRIS system issues and projects. This includes system design, system maintenance & modifications, system optimization and operational/functional issues
  • Proactively collaborate with COE Leaders, HR Team and Business Partners to understand requirements/needs, and implement process and systems to continuously meet those needs
  • Conduct data analyses and assist with impactful HR Analytics including development and implementation of dashboards and reports to support business needs in close collaboration with analytics function
  • Accountable for data integrity including quality, accuracy, timeliness and usability (includes core systems and related interfaces). Maintains data integrity in systems through pro-active means (audits, queries, etc.)
  • Help establish and execute timely data processing and processes for job requisitions, organizational structure, new hires, transfers, terminations, promotions, and compensation changes

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of experience in a technology related role
  • Working experience with Success Factors EC module and the administration of other Success Factors modules required
  • Working knowledge of SuccessFactors workbooks and prior experience using SuccessFactors community required
  • Familiarity with integration platforms and data transfer methods including SuccessFactors Integration Center preferred
  • Prior experience with reporting tools in SuccessFactors preferred
  • Ability to make recommendations for senior management
  • Highly effective project management skills with an ability to work on and lead multiple projects simultaneously
  • Critical and structured thinker with a high level of attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
  • Data driven mentality with a bias towards thoughtful action
  • Outstanding communication & presentation skills, possessing the ability to interface with audiences of all levels throughout the organization
  • Advanced Excel & Power Point skills
  • BA/BS required
  • Team player with the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
