Ellucian is looking for a hands-on and energetic Senior Field Marketing Manager to support the South East sales region and act as a team lead for the North America field marketing team. The goal of this role is to establish partnerships with sales, services and the broader marketing team, and plan and execute targeted marketing activities in your region helping to establish Ellucian as the market leading partner to higher education institutions globally. You will report to the Senior Director, Global Field Marketing, and this position requires a unique blend of B2B marketing, creativity and the ability to work well in a team environment managing multiple projects.


This ideal candidate will have a background with B2B software solutions and a proven ability to identify opportunities and deliver effective marketing strategies to generate results.   



  • Serve as a liaison with the assigned territory sales team and greater marketing organization to ensure pipeline creation goals are met
  • Collaborate with marketing peers and sales leadership to create and gain consensus for cross portfolio go-to-market (GTM) plans and marketing plays in alignment with strategic product mandates and sales directives.
  • Help design installed base and new customers campaigns to generate leads, strengthening assigned pipeline goals
  • Drive executing account-based marketing strategy against target accounts
  • Assist in the continued development and management of the customer reference repository to make outreach and maintenance more efficient
  • Drive co-marketing activities with solution partners to drive awareness and pipeline generation
  • Liaise on customer interactions, including online/offline communities, events, user groups and executive roundtables
  • Target and promote thought leadership content and new marketing assets that align with the customer journey, sales buying stages and support the GTM plan for specific accounts.
  • Measure the impact of marketing activities on customer growth, retention and financial outcomes, and communicate these impacts within the organization.
  • Identify opportunities to improve go-to-market strategy & tactic effectiveness through better audience segmentation, marketing techniques and processes.



  • Success in building and executing integrated campaigns leveraging multiple channels in which to reach your target audience
  • Clear understanding of technology, data applications, cloud and emerging technologies with the capability to skillfully integrate into programs that deliver on sales and product objectives.
  • Strong writing and presentation skills to translate detailed content into impactful go-to-market materials including web, email and social content.
  • Successful direct and digital marketing campaign experience required
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve hands-on results working cross-functionally with sales, marketing and product teams
  • Achievement/goal-oriented, collaborative, customer-focused, detailed, persistent, active listener, resourceful, influence
  • Understands how to build and execute a campaign from concept to measurement in market
  • Strong project management, planning and organizational skills with attention to detail. An ability to take the initiative and deliver projects unsupervised.
  • Have a strong, metrics-driven background and the ability to utilize both qualitative and quantitative data
  • Ability to deal with occasional ambiguity and courage to take risks and try new things
  • Travel up to 25% as required


Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree in marketing, communications, business
