FOCUS AREA: Onboarding and Growth

REPORTING LINE: Sr. Director, Global Sales Enablement

LOCATION: Reston VA, Malvern PA, Remote




As part of the Sales Enablement team, you will develop and deliver world-class learning programs that up-level capabilities for our Global Sales team and improve sales time to productivity. This role will focus on leading sales training design, development and delivery for onboarding and growth to ensure individuals are equipped with the knowledge to be successful and drive revenue. You will work cross-functionally with a variety of teams including Sales Leadership, Product Marketing, Product, Services, and Solution Consulting to establish a scalable and supported program.



  • Own the design, content and creation of the Ellucian Sales Onboarding Program and continuous improvement efforts
  • Oversee Onboarding curriculum across multiple roles in our global Sales organization
  • Develop program paths and materials in support of a full cycle of onboarding into growth role opportunities, ensuring content is always current, timely and relevant
  • Coordinate with multiple internal groups to leverage expertise in design and delivery of content
  • Leverages Product Marketing materials and ensure field readiness through effective delivery of sales training materials
  • Manage plans to effectively deploy, deliver and measure and report on sales training program effectiveness
  • Develop end to end learning offerings leveraging most appropriate training delivery formats for the scenario (live sessions or workshops, virtual sessions, self-service activities, multi-media, simulations, etc.) to ramp sales team members into their roles
  • Adapt existing content to produce creative, interactive learning experiences
  • Help to improve and prioritize new training strategies in support of all Sales Enablement initiatives
  • Ensure learning delivery is succinct and sales focused – be able to distill information down to the most relevant and impactful learning points
  • Drive learning follow-up activities, materials delivery, and ensure learning is resonating with the Sales team
  • Identify training needs by observing sales encounters; studying sales results reports; conferring with sales managers to evaluate areas of strength and weakness
  • Maintain individual training records in support of onboarding and growth programs
  • Stay up-to-date with employee development trends




  • Bachelor Degree qualified or equivalent, marketing or sales qualification
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in field sales, sales training and development, learning and development, sales operations, or product marketing
  • Experience designing, developing, and delivering learning programs and training materials
  • Organized and able to manage and deliver multiple tasks efficiently, effectively and on time.
  • Strong writing, editing, oral and interpersonal communication skills
  • End to end project management with an ability to evaluate and re-prioritize activities
  • Demonstrated understanding of sales and support roles, and a commitment to strengthening the sales process with knowledge, creativity and empathy
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to collaborate with numerous cross-functional teams
  • Higher Education industry or Enterprise Software industry experience is a plus
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
