As Consultant of ERP Applications for Managed Services at Ellucian you will be key contributor to planning, analysis, coordination, support and maintenance of our ERP systems Ellucian Banner and all components of the Unified Digital Campus (UDC) technologies such as: Ellucian Identity Service, Banner Enterprise Identity Solution, Banner Document Management, DegreeWorks, Operational Data Store, Workflow, Automic/UC4, Touchnet, Luminis, Ellucian Portal, eProcurement, and eTranscripts. You will install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and tune entire technology stack including Windows server, Tomcat application server, Linux operating system, Microsoft IIS, and Oracle database server application integrations for previously mentioned components.  You will be critical in the coordination of physical and logical changes to enterprise ERP applications.



Responsibilities include:

•    Planning, deploying, testing, upgrading, troubleshooting applications running on Windows/Linux for Ellucian ERP suite integrations

•    Own the documentation, coverage and training on 3rd party (non-ERP) applications for which we are contracted to provide support to our customers

•    Script to automate common repeatable tasks across the spectrum of supported products and technologies

•    Manage multiple projects simultaneously and able to adapt to changing business goals

•    Publish, improve and maintain technical documentation along with processes and procedures

•    Engage in continuous learning and adoption of new concepts, technologies and problem-solving techniques

•    Participate in after hours on-call process


Required Experience, Knowledge & Skills

•    Proven professional and technical experience in an enterprise environment with a focus on customer service and delivery role managing and mitigating escalations

•    Strong knowledge of Linux (RHEL/CentOS) and Windows Server

•    Strong OS and networking skills to troubleshoot issues (command line tools, vi, crontab, wget, curl, etc etc)

•    Administration of web servers running one or more: Tomcat, Apache, IIS, Weblogic

•    Experience with certificate and keystore management (openssl/keytool)

•    ITIL Knowledge (Incident, Change and Problem Management)

•    A desire to resolve problems and not just incidents or events. Possess the tenacity to delve to the root of the problem quickly, understand why it happened, and prevent it in the future

•    Works well with cross-functional global and remote teams

•    Demonstrate the ability to learn new technologies, methods, and tools quickly to meet our business requirements

•    Proven ability to collaborate with team members to achieve successful customer outcomes

•    Strong presentation, verbal and written skills, excellent customer service, as well as high attention to detail

•    Knowledge of LDAP and SSL setup and configuration

•    Bilingual (Spanish/English) – Must be fluent in English


Desired Ellucian Product Experience:

•    Familiar with Enterprise Messaging Services such as Glassfish/RabbitMQ or Sun Java MessageQueue

•    Knowledge of Ellucian Banner Oracle tables

•    Knowledge of MSSQL tables

•    Supported Banner Document Management, Ellucian ISSM, Perceptive Content, Business Objects, Cognos BI, eVisions/Argos, Jaspersoft, Microsoft Dynamics (CRM), DegreeWorks, other Windows-based 3rd party deployments.

•    Proficient with automated deployment and upgrade tools; i.e. Jenkins, Ansible

•    Experience with SQL interpretation and modification/tuning

•    Ellucian Banner ERP product: Banner 8 Administration & Banner 9/XE Administration; Ellucian Solution Manager (ESM)

•    Banner Enterprise Identity Services (BEIS)

•    Advanced Single Sign-on Configuration/Support (SSO) Federation/Metadata/OAuth/MFA

•    Operational Data Store (ODS)

•    Payment Adapter (ie. TouchNet)

•    Ellucian Identity Server (EIS)

•    Luminis / Ellucian Portal


Desired Experience & Knowledge:

•    B.S (Computer Science/Engineering) or equivalent preferred. Similar qualifications with adequate experience will be considered

•    Knowledge of Bash or Perl/Python/ PowerShell or any scripting languages to automate common tasks.

•    AWS Certification, a plus

•    MCSA/MCSE Certification, a plus
