Position Overview:

As a Senior Director of Application Services, you will focus on supporting our assurance processes and removing barriers to success for both your team and our customers. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of delivery by workingwith Cloud leadership team to set strategic goals. You will work with your team(s) to prioritize and successfully deliver on thosegoals. Success will be measured via the key performance indicators. You are responsible for building the Application Servicesteams, with ultimate accountability for assurance delivery and as a point of escalation for customers.



  • Full accountability for the quality and timeliness of delivery.
  • Responsible for hiring and ensuring onboarding practices are developed and followed
  • Responsible for designing, communicating and meeting team metrics and SLO's
  • Communication and remediation ofteam organizational gaps, issues, successes and needs
  • Budget development and management for team
  • Ensure margin goals are met and Regional Managers are managing to budget for customers
  • Drive and monitor adherence to quality standards for all work tasks
  • Identify process gaps and drive continuous improvement through training and process development
  • Communicate with entire team on the goals, objectives and directives of the entire Cloud Business Unit
  • Drive cultural adoption and participation in team culture for positive, cross organizational collaboration and ownership
  • Mentor direct reports in management techniques
  • Plan, execute and hold teams accountable for:
    • Fully staffing according to need, budget, plan
    • Cross Training to develop deep bench strength withinand across teams
    • Being fully prepared to support the applications in scope
    • Following organizational policy consistently across all teams
    • Adhering to ITSM practices as designed for the CBU
    • Being the trusted advisor for customersoRecommending and guiding customers to best practices where they are not currently followed
    • Delivering with quality all items in the scope of services and none outside the scope


  • A minimum of 15 years professional experience
  • A minimum of 8years personnel management and technical leadership
  • Proven ability to see the big picture and vision for the higher education market and Ellucian
  • Proven work ethic, and results in a fast-paced, high-volume, matrixed organization
  • Proven P&L management experience including revenue recognition, budgeting and action planning resulting from actively managing budgets, costs and performance
  • Possesses strong sense of ownership and understanding of customer priorities to ensure positive outcomes
  • Experience being flexible and versatile while driving to customer-focused solutions
  • Experience promoting a one team approach across all organizational boundaries, with a best practice and innovative focus
  • Proven ability to quickly summarize and communicate complex information for multiple audiences. Must also be able to structure and facilitate meetings
  • Proven ability to drive automation and tool use across teams
  • Proven ability to drive consistency and performance across multiple teams
  • Knowledge of Higher Education Processes, Policy and Procedures
