Senior Business Analysts provide requirements analysis, software design, application development, implementation, integration, and maintenance for the Jenzabar EX and associated administrative systems.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:
 

  • Work with administrators, end users, and stakeholders to perform systems analysis for new business processes and business process improvement.
     
  • Design and develop Jenzabar EX and MS SQL database-driven solutions based on defined requirements and according to institutional and industry standards.
     
  • Design and develop reports with appropriate reporting tools.
     
  • Implement solutions in the Jenzabar EX Student Information System.
     
  • Maintain and enhance existing solutions and document changes.
     
  • Troubleshoot technical problems and errors encountered by users.
     
  • Develop and maintain integration between various administrative systems.
     
  • Manage and perform Jenzabar system upgrades and related projects.
     
  • Provide end-user operational support and satisfy ad hoc requests for data.
     
  • Recommend and implement best practices with regard to the institution’s administrative systems.
     
  • Review system documentation prepared by others for completeness and correctness.
     
  • Experience with instructional design theory, best practices in online education, learning theory, instruction delivery models, and metrics.
     
  • Provide support and strong management for the system administration of the Jenzabar EX ERP and the daily support of the College’s ongoing evolution of its implementation and integration with legacy systems.
     
  • Facilitate and add value to the client's use of Jenzabar Student in, but not limited to, the Registration, Admissions, Compliance, etc.
     
  • Develop and implement ERP and associated administrative systems change management, communication, planning, testing procedures, and programming documentation.
     
  • Facilitate business process review and provide business process analysis and insight into best practice methodologies and be capable of providing quality end-user consultation and support.
     
  • Provide maintenance, appropriate use, production and problem-solving support, and ad-hoc reporting support.
     
  • Provide project management, leadership, needs assessment, integration services and the ability to develop a strong working relationship with the client and IT staff members.
     
  • Maintain all tracking and issue logging in the SNOW tracking system.
     
  • Evaluate and adjust where appropriate, Jenzabar setup tables relative to the client business practices.
     
  • Provide leadership and guidance for functional work groups enabling them to stay on time and on task.
     
  • Prepare functional/technical specifications for reporting, interfaces and customizations.
     
  • Provide guidance in the formulation and coordination of an end-user training strategy, and when appropriate, deliver such training.
  • Provide direction in developing testing methodology and test scripts for utilization during upgrades and patch application.
     
  • Have the ability to deal successfully with multiple priorities at the same time in a calm manner.
     
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and should have the ability to work alone or/and in a team environment with attention to the details.
     
  • Escalate issues appropriately and promptly according to the chain established at the Client site, to provide timely support and issue resolution.
     
  • Design onscreen user interfaces, reports and interfaces with other systems.
     
  • Review, create and maintain the user and technical documentation related to the Student module.
     
  • Provide functional/technical assistance by responding to inquiries regarding errors, problems or questions with programs.
     
  • Revise program documentation for corrections, enhancements or system environment changes through accepted project management processes.
     
  • Coordinate with other analysts about program revisions and providing project leadership.
     
  • Align with Ellucian’s and the Client’s strategic policies and mission.
     
  • Keep abreast of the advances in technology and functional processes as they relate to the Higher Education and the client.
     
  • Solid organizational skills, ability to work with staff, faculty and administration at all skill and management levels.
     
  • Sound strategic thinking skills and ability to work with client senior management team in an effective manner.
     
  • Use and maintain the Jenzabar student information system.
     
  • Provide instruction and procedures to help assist Faculty and Staff in using Jenzabar.
     
  • Oversee ALL TK20 assessment projects.
     
  • Contribute to design of “model-classroom” and study labs.
     
  • Offer guidance and feedback to staff when necessary, insuring standards, guidelines and policies are adhered too. Review objectives and expected outcomes.
