The Account Executive will be responsible for selling full enterprise wide application software, managed services, database software, maintenance, and services to the higher education marketplace. This role is responsible for business development, identifying and qualifying leads, building solid customer relationships to drive sales through the pipeline, managing company resources to bring clients to contract as well as managing the contracting process.


The incumbent in this position develops and manages executive level client relationships as well as with key stakeholders at multiple levels that within an institution that are involved with the decision making process; and regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to align ELLUCIAN products and services to the client’s business needs.


The Account Executive owns and manages the entire sales cycle from initial business development through contract completion; manages and prepares all company personnel interacting with the client; prepares the software pricing and proposal content and works closely with ELLUCIAN Consulting Services for the appropriate scope of services proposed to a client; and consistently manages and accurately forecasts monthly, quarterly, and annual pipeline and forecast. Additionally, he/she develops short and long term plans to achieve strategic sales objectives within the assigned territory; develops, maintains and shares competitive knowledge to leverage in sales cycles; represents and promotes ELLUCIAN trade association meetings and User Groups.
