Position Overview:

 

Ellucian is seeking an innovative hands-on individual to help lead the design, built out and adoption of collegiate admissions and recruiting tooling.  Working closely with development teams, Product Architects and other Product Managers, you will help improve usability, maintenance, and customer adoption.  You must be able to work with a wide range of roles: Architects, Business Analysts, Developers, Automation engineers, Support Analysts, and Product Managers to support agile development and ensure successful customer delivery and feature adoption.  We’re looking for a responsible, analytical, self-starter who not afraid roll their sleeves up and drive change.   In this role, you will enjoy a fun, challenging, fast-paced environment where you will engage with teams located around the world and shape the collegiate admissions experiences of millions of students.

 

Job Responsibilities & Requirements

 

  • Serve local scrum team(s) as Product Owner
  • Provide product development direction and advocate for customers    
  • Oversee and write features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and refine backlog
  • Ensure solutions meet company-wide requirements in terms of non-functional performance, security, compliance, and social responsibility
  • Assist with leading betas and development partner groups
  • Respond to questions and monitor customer communities
  • Support backlog prioritization activities, defect analysis and complex problem definition
  • Author and present marketing requirement documentation 

 

Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3 years of applicable experience as Business Analyst / Product Owner building/maintaining software
  • Enthusiastic, dependable & well-organized
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written,
  • Able to confidently demonstrate products, present, and influence senior management, and other internal or external stakeholders
  • Flexibility with work hours in order to interface with global stakeholders
  • Must be a team player who works well with technical and non-technical people
  • Experience communicating product vision and decisions across geographically distributed teams
  • Ability to balance conflicting priorities and work independently– you will be required to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Understand recruiting and admissions applications in depth
  • Strong skills in planning, organization, scheduling, problem-solving
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated with strong decision-making skills
